Detailed Tour Plan
Day 01: Arrival Delhi
Meet and greet by our representative on arrival in India at international airport and transfer to hotel for installation.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi = Chandigarh – Manali by surface (alt 2000 m.) (approx 310 kms/09 hrs journey)
Morning departure transfer with packed breakfast to catch the train to Chandigarh, on arrive at Chandigarh station then proceed Manali by private car. In the evening check in the hotel in Manali.
Day 03: Manali – Jispa (alt 3400 m.) ( approx 129 kms/05 hrs)
After breakfast interaction with cruise staff, later we start our motorbike adventure on Royal Enfield to Jispa climbing over Rohtang Pass (3978 meters).
This would really turn out to be a challenge as the roads you will bike through are really bad and the weather conditions are also uncertain. Further pass through the Lahaul Valley where there are mountains capped with snow all around. Enjoy mountain dinner of steamed momos and thukpa.
Thukpa is a very famous traditional Himalayan soup which is made by mixing meat and vegetables.
On arrival at Jispa, Installation at hotel. Overnight at hotel
Day 04: Jispa – Tso-Khar (alt 4600 m.) (approx 180 kms/06 – 07 hrs)
Today, you will be leaving for the next destination, Tso-khar.
When you leave from Jispa, you will enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. While you are on this route, you will see that the mountains are bigger on this part of the highway. Enjoy the view and later cross the Baralachha Pass (4850 meters). From there, head towards Sarchu which forms the border line between Kashmir and Himachal. From there continue ride to Tso-khar climbing over Naki La (4877 m) and Lachalung-The first giant above 5000 m (5065 m).
Later lunch at Pang after lunch continue ride to Tso-khar en route you will ride the bike through flatlands and get into the mountain-range-horizon. Tso-khar is a place where you will witness a mix of different natural formations which are seen through the roads and sand. Overnight at camp
Day 05: Tso Khar – Leh (altitude 3524 m.) – (Aprrox 150 km/04-05 Hrs)
The 5th day comes with a lot of challenges with more plain and get into the mountain-range-horizon. Cross the Tanglang-La Pass which is the second-highest motorable mountain pass in the world at the height of 5300 meters.
After crossing this pass, you will have to bike through well-maintained roads all the way to Leh. En-route you will get to see the monasteries of Thiksey and Shey which are set on the top of a hill. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening free to explore the Market of Leh. Overnight at hotel
Day 06: Leh – Lamayuru – Alchi (alt 3100 m.) – (Approx 174 kms/05-06 Hrs)
After breakfast we ride to explore some very unique landscapes of Himalayan region. A scenic ride through some fine rocky faces to visit the Lamayuru Monastery and Moonland en-route visit Nimmu; there we will witness the confluence of the Green Indus river and the brown Zanskar river.
Afterwards ride back towards Alchi on arrival installation at hotel, Later visit the Alchi Gompa on the banks of the Indus. The monastery has lots of small Buddha statue in different form but the main attraction is the 1000-year-old wall paintings, Unesco heritage.
In the evening free time to walk around the village.
Day 07: Alchi – Kardunng-La – Leh (3524 m alt.) – (Approx 140 kms/06-07 Hrs)
After breakfast ride to Khardung la pass (5600 m), which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 m and has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Later ride back to Leh. Rest of the day free to explore Leh town. overnight at hotel
Day 08: Leh – Panggong-Tso Lake (alt 4298) – (Approx 147 kms/05-06 Hrs)
Early in the morning ride to the Pangong Lake which is the largest brackish water lake in Asia. The Pangong Lake situated at the Chinese-Indian border. The road takes us through picturesque villages. The Pangong lake is situated at an altitude of 4267 meters. From there, we get a view of the highest mountain peaks.
Visit to the villages along the lake. After this visit, you will cross the Chang La (5500 meters). Have a comfortable stay at night in the resort
Day 09: Panggong-Tso Lake – Leh (3524 m alt.)
Have your breakfast and get ready to head towards Leh en route you can visit Thiksey monastery.
On arrival in Leh check in at hotel. In the afternoon time at leisure to stroll down in the Leh town. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10 : Leh – Sarchu (alt 4200 m.) – (Approx 258 kms/08-09 Hrs)
On your bikes from Leh to Sarchu crossing over Tanglang La pass (5300 m), later more plane (45kms straight ride through the breathtaking valley). After lunch at Pang continue ride to Sarchu. On arrival in Sarchu by evening. overnight at Camp
Day 11: Sarchu – Manali (2000 m alt.) – (Approx 228 kms/08-09 Hrs)
On your bikes from Sarchu riding upto Baralacha Pass which is an entry into Lahaul valley. We continue our descend crossing Zingzingbar, Darcha, Jispa and riding across Lahaul valley to Khoksar where after much needed tea break we start another ascend of our last challenge, The Rohtang Pass.
We cross the pass to enter the lush green Kullu valley ending our Motorbike Safari in Manali.
We bid farewell to our companions The Royal Enfields, carrying fond memories & promise to meet again. overnight at hotel
Day 12: Manali – Chandigarh = Delhi by Train (altitude 250 m.)
After breakfast drive back with private vehicle to Chandigarh railway station to catch the train to Delhi, on arrival in Delhi railway station, where our representative will meet and take to you the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Drop at Delhi International airport
After breakfast departure transfer to airport to catch the flight onwards destination.
