Today afternoon hop in to the car as you will drive to Udaipur from Delhi. Overnight in Car.

On arrival at Udaipur you will be transferred to the hotel. After refreshments and breakfast proceed on a sightseeing tour of Udaipur.

Visit City Palace originally built in 1559, overlooking the Lake Pichola, consisting of Durbar Hall, Crystal Gallery, Palace Museum and Jagdish Temple.

Day 01: Arrive New Delhi

Day 02:  New Delhi to Chandigarh and Drive to Manali 

In time transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board Shatabdi Express to Chandigarh.

On arrival meeting assistance at Chandigarh.  After short briefing and introduction with crew / technical support team, proceed to Manali. 325 kms drive will take approx. 8 hours to reach Manali. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 02: In Manali 

After a leisurely breakfast, day at leisure to acclimatize or to explore the best of Manali town. One of the most favorite destination for Indian tourist may be crowded with many visitors in summer.

Explore Mall Road / Hadimba Temple / Vashisth Ashram and hot spring at the temple and post lunch check your gears and essential stuffs for your overland drive to Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Manali.

Day 03: Drive Manali Rohtang Pass – Koksar – Keylong 

Depart Manali early in the morning our first halt is Marhi. A barren landscape offering extensive views of the valley and the mountains. We proceed to Rohtang Pass 3790 M, it is most popular with visitors, being one of the highest road point and gateway to LAHAUL and SPITI valleys.

Pass remains closed during winter due to heavy snow from November end to May end. Visitors can drive upto Marhi below Rohtang with similar high altitude topography, forest of Birch, Fir and Spurce.

keylongOnce we cross the Rohtang Pass border we are in the Barren Himalayas with the landscape completely changing. Khoksar is the first village and gate way to Lahaul Night stay in Keylong.

Day 04: Drive Keylong – Darcha – Sarchu- Leh 

Get prepared for the most interesting overland high altitude drive up to Leh. May take approx. 10 hours. You will arrive at Darcha (3500 M) it is situated at the junction of Yotche Nullah and the Zanskar chhu which takes off from the Shinkun la. Both these nullahs meet with the main river Bhaga at this place. This is the main point for the trek lovers wish to enter in Zanskar valley or up to Leh.

Drive from this place will take you to BaraLacha Pass (1620 Ft) and further drive to Sarchu which is nearly the mid-point of Manali Leh route. Continue drive to Pang and cross Morai plains and arrive at Tanglangla Pass (5400 M) and enter in Leh Valley.

Your further drive will take you to Upsi by crossing river Indus and follow the highway up to Leh. Check in at your hotel and overnight stay.

Day 05: In Leh:  Visit the town and surrounds 

The morning is at leisure for rest after the long journey. After lunch visit Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa, Leh Palace & the markets.

Day 06: Leh – Pangong Lake (145 kms.) 

Early departure for Pangong Lake (approx. 155 kms, located on the Indo China Border), via Chang-la pass (alt:  17370 ft).

This famous blue blackish lake is 5 to 6 kms wide and over 144 km long with half of it running to the other side of the Indo-China border. After full day of sightseeing around the Lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 kms to Tangtse and check into Hotel / Guest House for overnight stay.

Day 07: Pangong – Hemis / Thiksey – Leh 

After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery of Ladakh.

Day 08: Leh – Khardungla – Nubra  Valley (125 kms.) 

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung-la (alt: 18,380 ft).

Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit / Hundar for overnight in a fixed camp or hotel.

Day 09: Nubra Valley – Khardungla-Leh (125 kms.) 

In the morning visit / explore Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment).

Later drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Leh – Alchi – Lamayuru – Kargil 

After leisurely breakfast drive down the Indus Valley on the first leg of your journey to Kargil & Srinagar.

Day 01:  Arrive Delhi

Day 02:   Delhi 

After breakfast enjoy the sightseeing of Delhi.

Visit the Red Fort   the 17th century imposing fortress built in red sandstone is surrounded by a huge 33m high boundary wall. Inside are exquisite palaces and beautiful gardens.

Opposite the Red Fort lies Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque) made of red sandstone and white marble, completed in 1656 at a cost of one million Rupees has perfect proportions.

Later visit the Qutub Minar   the landmark of Delhi, a huge tower of victory started in 1199 and completed in 1368. The minar is 72.5m high with a diameter at the base 14.4m and 2.7m at the top. The tower has 379 steps to the top.

Day 07:   Ranthambore / Bharatpur (240 Kms – 5 ½ Hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Bharatpur.

Bharatpur Bird SanctuaryBharatpur Bird Sanctuary or Keoladeo Ghana National Park, which was established in 1956. This 29 sq km marshland is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world with over 360 species of birds, out of which 117 are the local birds. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, it used to be a part of the private shooting reserve of the Maharaja of Bharatpur.

bharatpur Among many bird species to be seen are egrets, storks, ducks, Chinese coots, kingfishers, spoonbills, sarus cranes and several birds of prey, including falcon, marsh harrier and eagle. Alone 80 species of ducks can be spotted here. There are also chital, Nilgai, deer, wild cats, hyenas and wild boar whilst near the entrance there are usually some very large rock pythons.

During November to February the northern hemisphere migratory birds visit the park from China, Europe and Siberia, including the rare Siberian Crane.

Day 08: Bharatpur / Chambal  (125 Kms – 2 ½ Hrs drive)

Later drive to Chambal, on the way visit Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful and deserted medieval city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire.

The complex consists of religious, residential and administrative buildings. The Mosque is considered a copy for the Mosque at Mecca and is extremely elegant, containing elements of Hindu and Persian design.  Housed here is the Shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti one of the greatest of Sufi saints of the Muslim world.

The most extravagant monument ever built for love is a tribute to the timelessness of art and love. The inimitable poem in white marble, one of the seven modern wonders of the world, the finest expression of love of Emperor Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz who died giving birth to their 14th child, is located on the banks of the Yamuna river here. The construction of the Taj had commenced in 1631AD and had ended in 1653AD. Workers were gathered from all over the country and from central Asia. About 20,000 people were recruited to translate this dream into reality. The main architect was Isa Khan who was brought from Iran.

Later visit Agra Fort, -Built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Day 1: Welcome to Delhi

Welcome to the political and Cultural Capital of India – Delhi. Traditional welcome at the airport by our representative and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Pushkar (390 km from Delhi, 07 hrs drive)

After a early breakfast proceed half day sightseeing tour of Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British Empire.

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel and enjoy a beautiful drive to Jojawar. Check in to the hotel and lunch at the hotel. After lunch we proceed for an amazing insight into the village life and its surroundings on the back of the famous Marwari Horses.

Day 5: Jojawar

A very exciting day awaits you; after breakfast we start the day with train Safari which is one of the major attractions at Jojawar.

The train journey will be followed by the Jeep safari organized to the neighboring tribal and Rebari settlements where one could interact and peep into the rich rural culture of Rajasthan and later visit a famous tribal horse lord temple where high tea is served just around sunset.

Day 6: Jojawar – Udaipur (150 km from Jojawar, 3hrs drive)

After breakfast we drive to Udaipur, the city of lakes. The city was built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot in the continent of India.

Day 7: Udaipur – Jodhpur (185 kms from Udaipur, 4-5 hrs drive)

After breakfast proceed by road to Jodhpur. Enroute visit the Ranakpur Jain Temples.

The ceilings of the temples are adorned with foliage scroll work and geometric patterns. The top and bottom part of the domes are joined by Brackets with figures of deities on them.

Day 8: Jodhpur – Dabdi (70 kms from Jodhpur, 1½ hrs drive)

Check out of the hotel after an early morning breakfast and start the day with the morning sight seeing of Jodhpur which includes the massive Mehrangarh fort.

This massive Mehrangarh fort came first and around it grew the city of Jodhpur protected by a high stone wall with seven gates and countless bastions) en route Osian.

osianOn arrival at the resort we begin our adventure of the camel safari. Packed lunch will be served in the afternoon arrival at village Bikamkor with a packed lunch. On arrival you will be met by our Safari staff and Camel riders. Then start your Camel Safari for village Dabdi, a two hour ride. Just before sunset, arrive at your exclusive mobile safari camp. Enjoy an evening under the stars followed by a candlelit dinner. Over night at the Dabdi dunes. Distance covered-9 kms.

Day 9: Dabdi – Osian

After breakfast we will start our safari through the Thar Desert. After a four hour ride we approach the oasis village ‘Khetasar’ where we visit the local weavers and the potters. Here lunch will be served by the oasis or at a village hut. After lunch resume the safari for the resort covering a total distance of 25 Km.

Alternatively for those not wanting to proceed to the resort by camel, Jeeps will be waiting to take you to the resort and there the afternoon can be spent enjoying the swimming pool located on the highest sand-dune.

Day 10 : Osian – Sodakore (200 kms from Osian, 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast take a short tour of the famous Osian Temples and then proceed to Sodakore.

The city was a major religious centre of the kingdom of Marwar during the Pratihara dynasty. Of the 18 shrines in the group, the Surya or Sun Temple and the later Kali temple, Sachiya Mata Temple and the main Jain temple dedicated to Lord Mahavira stands out in their grace and architecture.
