Detailed Tour Plan

DAY 01: ARRIVE LEH

Arrival Leh in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Take complete rest for the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Overnight in hotel.

DAY 02: LEH – EXCURSION TO SHAM VALLEY (50 KMS / 03-04 HRS )
After leisurely breakfast visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery & Stok Palace Museum.

Post lunch drive to visit Hall of Fame, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point and Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar rivers).

Overnight in hotel.

DAY 03: LEH–NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA 18,390 FT. (120 KMS / 4 – 5 HRS)
After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area.

Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Diskit for overnight stay in a camp.

DAY 04: NUBRA VALLEY TO PANGONG LAKE (170 KMS / 7 HRS)
In the morning visit / explore Deskit, Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment).

Later drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok Village crossing Durbuk and Tangste finally reaching The beautiful Pangong lake.

After full day of sightseeing around the Lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 kms to Tangtse and check into Hotel / Guest House for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 05: PANGONG-HEMIS / THIKSEY-LEH (165 KMS.)
After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery of Ladakh.

Later drive on to Leh, enroute visiting the picturesque Thiksey monastery.

Overnight in hotel.

DAY 06: DEPARTURE LEH
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight for onward journey.

2N/3D Ranikhet Tour from Delhi

Ranikhet is a hill station in Uttarakhand State, northern India. It’s known for its views of the Himalayas. Historical accounts tell us the Queen Padmini of Kumaon was enchanted by this tiny hill paradise. King Sudhardev obliged her, by building a palace here for the queen and named the place Ranikhet (the queen’s fields).

No trace of the palace can be found today, but the place remained the same: captivating, abounding with flowers, trees and green meadows in the midst of heavenly Himalayan surroundings. Lost into oblivion for long, the picturesque hill station was rediscovered by the British. They bought the land from the native villagers and build it into a summer resort apart from establishing an army recruitment centre. Ranikhet still remains the head quarters of the gallant Kumaon Regiment.

Situated at a height of 1,829 meters, with an area of 21.76 sq. km Ranikhet has too much to present to the visitors – a healthy climate, tall coniferous trees, vast green meadows, tranquil surroundings, perfect peace and warm, open-hearted people. Every season has its own irresistible charm. This is what makes Ranikhet an all-season destination. Ranikhet also boasts of one of the best hill golf greens (9 holes) in the country.

Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park, located in North Chamoli, in the state of Uttarakhand. The valley is situated in the middle of tall mountains and is filled with picturesque flower meadows, pure streams and high altitude waterfalls. It lies in the upper regions of Bhyundar Ganga, close to Joshimath in Garhwal region.

Itinerary

Day 01:Delhi – Rishikesh

Early morning we will start our journey to Rishikesh by Car. Arrive at Rishikesh. Check-in at a pre booked hotel.

Evening at Leisure. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 2: Rishikesh– Auli(250kms/ 09hrs)

After a hearty breakfast we will check-out from hotel and drive to Auli. Reach and check in at hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Auli- Govindghat–Ghangaria (01 hrs drive/14 hrs trek)

Early morning at 0600 hrs we leave from Joshimath for Govindghat, which is the starting point for the trek. From Govindghat there is a gradual ascent along a well – maintained pilgrim trail to the camp at Ghangaria – the base from where day walks can be made into the valley of flowers.

Arrange porters and prepare for the trek. After a light breakfast, 14 km trek up to Ghangaria. On arrive check in hotel. Overnight stay in Ghangaria hotel.

Day 4 : Ghangaria – Valley Of Flowers – Ghangaria

After breakfast 5 km trek to Valley Of Flowers (3858 m ) from Ghangaria.

The valley is an enchanting sight with an impressive array of rare wildflowers like brahma kamal, fane Kamal with range of small multicolored flowers make it a delight for travelers. The snowclad peaks including Nilgiri Parbat (6474 m) stand in bold relief against the skyline.

The valley is 10 kms long, 2 kms wide, and is divided by the Pushpawati stream, into which several tiny streams and waterfalls merge. After enjoying the beauty of valley we come back to Ghangaria. Overnight stay in Ghangaria hotel.

Day 5: Ghangaria – Hemkundsahib – Ghangaria

After breakfast 6 km trek to Hemkundsahib (4329 m) from Ghangaria.

This is quite a steep climb. In the Sikh holy book, the Granth Sahib, the Sikh Guru Gobind Singh recounts that in a previous life, he meditated on the shores of a lake surrounded by seven snowcapped mountains now recognized by Hemkund. We visit Lake & Gurudwara. Again 6 km trek back to Ghangaria. Overnight stay in Ghangaria hotel.

Day 6: Ghangaria – Govindghat–Rudraprayag (05 hrs)

After breakfast leave for Govindghat on the trek of 14 kms to reach Govindghat and we drive to Rudraprayag. On arrive check in at hotel.

Day 7: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (165 Kms /05-6hrs)

After a hearty breakfast we will check-out from hotel and drive to Rishikesh. Reach and check in at hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Rishikesh – Delhi

Today is the last day of the tour. After Breakfast we will start our journey to Delhi. Arrival at Delhi. Drop at Hotel/Airport.

Lansdowne is a hill station in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. It was founded as a military garrison under the British Raj, and the Garhwali Museum traces the history of the Garhwal Rifles regiment, which still trains in the town. Close to colonial-era St. Mary’s Church, Tip-n-Top viewpoint is perched up on a ridge overlooking forested hills. Hindu devotees worship Shiva at the centuries-old Kaleshwar Temple.

Kasauli is a small hill town in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It’s home to gabled colonial-era houses, orchards and green-roofed Christ Church, dating from the mid-19th century. At the southern edge of town, Monkey Point overlooks forests of horse chestnut and Himalayan oak. A small temple also sits atop the hill. After breakfast in the morning leave for Uletokpo camping which is one of the most beautiful camping in the Ladakh region. En-route visit Spituk Monastery. Continue drive to visit Alchi monastery. It is the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground.

By the lunch time, you will reach Uletokpo. In the Evening, enjoy sitting on the bank of river coming down from the Ridzong side. Overnight stay at camp.

DAY 04 : ULETOKPO – LAMAYURU – LEH (180 KM, 6 HOURS)
Leave Uletokpo and drive towards Lamayuru via Khaltsi. Which is the oldest monasteries of ladakh region. This monastery was founded in the 10th Century.

Late afternoon drive back to Leh for overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 05 : LEH – NUBRA VALLEY (125 KM, 5 HOURS)
After the breakfast at the hotel drive to Nubra Valley with lunch box along. The Nubra valley lies in the north of leh and is accessible over the Khardungla pass 5600 Mtrs which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world.

The valley is on the trade route from leh to Khangar via Samsar and Karakoram passed. Enroute visit Diskit and Hundar monastery.

On arrival check in at Camp for overnight stay there.

DAY 06 : NUBRA – KHARDONG LA – LEH (130 KM, 5 HOURS)
After breakfast at the camp, drive to Leh with lunch box along. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping and independent activities.

DAY 07 : LEH – PANGONG LAKE – LEH (320 KM)
