Itinerary
DAY 01 : ARRIVAL LEH
Arrival at Leh airport and transfer to the Hotel.
Full day at leisure to acclimatize yourself because of high altitude of Leh as it is 3500 Mtrs above the sea level. In the evening you will be visiting Leh Bazaar.
Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 02 : LEH
Full day excursion to visit Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. It is quite interesting to visit the Thiksey monastery early in the morning to see “praying ceremony”. Also visit one of the biggest monasteries of Leh “Hemis”. On the way back visit Shey Palace.
Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03 : LEH – SPITUK – ALCHI – ULEYTOKPO (80 KM, 3 HOURS)
After breakfast in the morning leave for Uletokpo camping which is one of the most beautiful camping in the Ladakh region. En-route visit Spituk Monastery. Continue drive to visit Alchi monastery.
It is the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground. By the lunch time, you will reach Uletokpo. In the Evening, enjoy sitting on the bank of river coming down from the Ridzong side. Overnight stay at camp.
DAY 04 : ULETOKPO – LAMAYURU – LEH (180 KM, 6 HOURS)
Leave Uletokpo and drive towards Lamayuru via Khaltsi. Which is the oldest monasteries of ladakh region. This monastery was founded in the 10th Century.
Late afternoon drive back to Leh for overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 05 : LEH – NUBRA VALLEY (125 KM, 5 HOURS)
After the breakfast at the hotel drive to Nubra Valley with lunch box along.
The Nubra valley lies in the north of leh and is accessible over the Khardungla pass 5600 Mtrs which is one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
The valley is on the trade route from leh to Khangar via Samsar and Karakoram passed. Enroute visit Diskit and Hundar monastery.
On arrival check in at Camp for overnight stay there.
DAY 06 : NUBRA – LEH (125 KM, 5 HOURS)
After the breakfast at camp, Drive to Leh with lunch box along. On arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping and independent activities.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 : DEPARTURE
After the breakfast at Hotel, Checkout and Transfer to Airport.
